Russian Language Survival Guide for Law Enforcement

This course is hosted by the Tukwila Police Department.

Russian Language Survival Guide for LEA is a scenario-based course that provides law enforcement with the skills to interact with the Russian-speaking community, enhancing their ability to deter, interdict and counteract drug-related activity conducted by Russian Speaking Organized Crime Groups (RSOCGs). Students will learn a foundational basis of the Russian language, a greater understanding of Russian-speaking culture and Slavic societal norms and be provided with multiple tools for reference, continuing education and self-study. These skills combined with practical scenarios focusing on criminal tattoo analysis, cybercrime, money laundering, fraud, human trafficking, and Russian-speaking organized crime syndicate history will provide the student with a Russian language survival guide for law enforcement operations.
