Join the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC) for the 2026 Law Enforcement Training and Community Safety Act (LETCSA) Annual Summit to hear updates, ask questions, and share your perspective.

The summit is open to Washington residents, public safety professionals, local officials, tribal partners, and anyone interested in community safety. Attend in person or online.

LETCSA establishes statewide requirements for law enforcement training and independent investigations involving uses of deadly force. The annual summit creates an opportunity for the public and professionals to learn how these requirements are being implemented and provide feedback that helps inform future training and processes.

What You'll Hear About
Presenters from WSCJTC, the Washington State Auditor's Office (SAO), and the Office of Independent Investigations (OII) will share updates on three key areas:
- Law enforcement training: Basic Law Enforcement Academy training, continuing education, patrol tactics, de-escalation, and training participation data.
- Independent investigations: Independent Investigation Team updates and progress from the Office of Independent Investigations.
- Accountability and oversight: SAO's use-of-deadly-force investigation audits and related findings.
Presentations will include opportunities for attendee questions.
