Exceptional Entry Custody Officer

The City of Lynnwood currently has a Exceptional Entry Custody Officer position opening. The incumbent of this position is responsible for the safe care and secure custody of prisoners confined in the Lynnwood City Jail. The employee is also responsible for transporting prisoners to and from court and other jails. The position is located in the Police Department and is under the direct supervision of a Custody Sergeant.

Entry Custody Officer ($10,000 Hiring Bonus)

The incumbent of this position is responsible for the safe care and secure custody of prisoners confined in the Lynnwood City Jail. The employee is also responsible for transporting prisoners to and from court and other jails. The position is located in the Police Department and is under the direct supervision of a Custody Sergeant. Lateral Custody Officer ($25,000 Hiring Bonus)

The incumbent of this position is responsible for the safe care and secure custody of prisoners confined in the Lynnwood City Jail. The employee is also responsible for transporting prisoners to and from court and other jails. The position is located in the Police Department and is under the direct supervision of a Confinement Sergeant. Incumbents are placed on the salary range depending on their experience. Special Incentives: Lateral Custody Officers hired by the Lynnwood Police Department will receive a twenty five thousand dollar ($25,000) incentive.

Entry Level/Lateral Corrections Officer

As a Corrections Officer, your duties will include: Providing intake and release services for inmates, including interviews to determine medical and other special needs, and processing booking information. Maintaining order and ensuring the security of the Clark County Main Jail and Jail Work Center by supervising inmate activities and movement. Conducting searches for contraband to maintain a safe environment. Responding to emergencies in accordance with established policies and procedures, demonstrating composure and quick decision-making.
