Evidence/Identification Technician

The City of Puyallup Police Department is hiring for an Evidence/Identification Technician position. This position is part of a two person team working under the CID Captain. Forensic Unit Supervisor

Under the general direction of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Persons Division Lieutenant, the Forensic Unit Supervisor is responsible for supervisory functions of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Unit. This includes oversight of the Spokane County public fingerprint counter, crime scene response, latent processing, latent print comparisons, firearms, National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN), and Rapid DNA program.

Digital Forensic Analyst

Reporting to the Detective Sergeant, under general direction, this non-commissioned Digital Forensic Analyst conducts highly technical analysis and procedures in the collection, processing, preservation, and presentation of digital evidence to assist law enforcement in a variety of criminal investigations.

Forensic Scientist 2

This position is exempt from classified state service, the rules of the Division of Human Resources and the Idaho Personnel Commission.

This recruitment is being used to fill a full-time Forensic Scientist 2 (FS2) with Idaho State Police Forensic Services (ISPFS). An FS2 is an experienced scientist-level position with ISPFS. An experienced scientist who meets the minimum qualifications and *qualifying work experiences of the FS2 must successfully complete a qualifying examination.
