LETCSA
Formerly known as I-940, the Law Enforcement Training and Community Safety Act (LETCSA) establishes new training requirements and criteria for independent investigations of officer involved uses of deadly force.
Commission board and meeting information
The WSCJTC commission board consists of the Executive Director and 21 governor appointed commissioners. Meetings are held quarterly and welcome public comments.
Basic Law Enforcement Academy curriculum details
The Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA) is the 720 hour mandated academy for entry level city and county level police officers. The current syllabus outlines the topics covered in the 720 training hours.
Public Records Requests
In compliance with RCW 42.56 (Public Records Act), all records maintained by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC) are available for public inspection unless law specifically exempts them.

To maintain a respectful and constructive environment, these Social Media Posting Guidelines outline expectations for public comments and engagement on WSCJTC platforms.
