NRE Deputy Chief

The Natural Resources Enforcement Deputy Chief is responsible for oversight and supervision of all aspects of the department to insure treaty fishing, hunting and gathering harvests are lawfully and safely conducted. Maintains peace and order and enforces all applicable tribal laws and ordinances, primarily the Fishing and Hunting Codes. Issues citations to violators, conducts applicable investigations, makes arrests and provides testimony in court as needed.

Salary $6,997 to $8,101. A deputy must demonstrate professional, ethical standards during a routine patrol, traffic enforcement, collision investigation, criminal investigation, report writing, and public relations. Will attend and graduate from Basic Law Enforcement Academy and annual training. 4 on/4 off 11-hr shift. Sick leave, vacation, medical, longevity.
